Install this cleat support to reinforce the backside of your cleat. This will prevent the carriage bolts from pulling through the wood. The holes on one side are slotted to accommodate different cleat sizes. All of our dock hardware is made from hot dipped galvanized 1/4" steel. The square holes are made for 1/2" carriage bolts.
